Just as interesting in real life as in the virtual one!
Last spring (2006) my eyes caught a very nice profile... one belonging to Jeant75.
But there was a problem: he was in Alberta and I live in Montreal!
"Too bad" I thought... and then: "I'll just send a smile anyway, with such a well-written and interesting profile he deserves it".
And... lo and behold: I received a card back and one evening an invitation to IM, which was followed by e-mails and more IMs.
However, I had made plans for a long trip abroad during the summer, so we ceased writing during my absence.
A few days after I had returned home in late Aug. there was an e-mail from Jeant75 and our correspondence resumed. By now we had discovered that we had the same goals and hopes for the future. He told me he could make a stopover in Montreal on his way to visit his mother in Europe. Said and done..... and guess what? We found each other just as interesting in real life as in the virtual one!
So: the end of the story is that Jeant75 moved to Montreal (he's retired, I am not) and we're quite excited and optimistic about the prospects of a shared future.
Hope this serves as encouragement for other CPers of a more "mature" age! And........thanks CP!!!

I was very nervious about the online dating thing but my kids said why not try it mom. So they signed me up to CP, and I have to thank them and CP for everything. I have met the most wonderful man I could ever think of. He is everything I have ever wanted in my life. We had been e-mailing each other for about 6 months before he asked me to take my holidays with him in Egypt. Mr.Clinton and I(Crys66) got married on April 27, 2006 in Egypt, which is where he is from. We do have alot of distance between us right now, but that will change soon. And right at this moment our love is stronger than ever and will never change, no matter how far apart we are. We had a lovely wedding and honeymoon in Egypt. And I want to thank CP for the best person in my life. Hope you all out there looking for that special some one will find the same happiness as I have. Thanks again CP.

Something made me respond.
Mark emailed me August 2005 - I have only moved to Canada from the UK a few days earlier and just wasn't ready. I got quite a lot of interest but never felt the need to reply - then Mark emailed me again in March 2006 and something made me respond.
Over 10 days we emailed a lot, then our first phone call lasted 5 hours - our second not much shorter. Rather than spend every morning tired from our chats we decided to meet up - no pressure as we had both been seriously burned in previous relationships. So on St Patricks day we met for a few drinks. We got on great - he was a kind, handsome and fun man, even though our lives were very different.
As I write this we are moving into a home together and talking about marriage ! Thanks CP!!!

I have found the woman of my dreams.
Here is the success story of Vanne and Jazzphan. About a year ago I got a smile from a woman in California. I was a little sceptical due to the distance, but after we exchanged message for a short time a strong connection began to form. From there we started talking on the phone and started to fall in love. The internet is such a safe place to exchange thoughts and feelings that I felt totally at ease with her. We are able to share everything and anything with each other. I think she knows more about me in the short time I've know her than my ex-wife of 10 years ever did! We have so much in common and she is a joy to be with. I didn't think it was possible to fall so deeply in love with someone that I hadn't even met! Finally, one of the happiest days of my life arrived. Last month we met face to face for the first time and what a wonderful time we had. I guess its kind of hard to call it 'love at first sight' but once I saw her I knew. I want to share the rest of my life with her. I have found the woman of my dreams. She had originally planned on staying for a week but that stretched into two! It felt like we had know each other for many years and we didn't want our time together to end. So we are now making plans to be together on a permanent basis - I can't wait to be with her again. Thank you Canadian Personals for being the vehicle that allowed this to happen. Hi there! I met and fell in love with my best friend, my everything on here. I relocated from the U.K to Canada to be with the Man I love; who I now call my husband after our marriage in June 2006. To get to know someone online through emails and phone calls and then actually meet them I think is a great way to get to know the inner them. It was scary and exciting but turned out to be wonderful. Apart from meeting him I also have a new family who are just as wonderful. Keep looking because I never expected my life to turn out like it has, just wonderful.

We moved in together 7 months ago
A couple years ago, a friend of mine who thought I was in desperate need of a social life created a profile on here for me. I admit I was pretty skeptical about the whole thing, but figured why not.
Well, the night when my account was going to expire, I signed on for what I said was going to be my last time. I noticed "Tim72" had checked out my profile, and wasn't that far from me, so I sent him a smile to test the water.
We chatted that first night for close to 7 hours, and it became a nightly occurance until I finally became brave enough to meet for coffee. We met for coffee and have been together ever since!!!!
We moved in together 7 months ago and are flying to Vegas to get married this September!!!
