LOVE; YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL IT HITS YOU...
Well it all started out pretty simple, I was not a paying member and was given a free trial, so I logged in. Somebody wrote to me and he introduced himself and stated that he wants to learn about our culture. However, it was Christmas time and he told me that he is visiting his kids and will talk when he comes back. I told him that I am not a paying member and I was just given a seven day trial so he could email me at my email address. To my surprise, he e-mailed me and we started sending emails back and fourth, not waiting for him to come back after Christmas. He started introducing himself to me. I smiled to myself and thought, I’ll try this good looking older guy. We chatted everyday, even if I was in the office on Google. We got along fine together by chatting and emailing for almost a year until he decided to visit me in the Philippines with his son. We got to know each other well and we decided to get married. He arrived in the Philippines on November 28, 2006 and we got married on Dec 2, 2006. He returned to Canada on Dec 30, 2006. I tried to apply as a tourist, but I was denied, so he had to come back to the Philippines so we can be together. We went to Kuala Lumpur and Thailand to have our second honeymoon. We have been together for two months and when we came back to the Philippines, we applied for a permanent residence. And after six months, I was approved and here I am now in Canada with my husband. To everyone that knew me on this site, I wish you all well and trust me, you won't know until it hits you; love is sneaky that way. This site was a blast just for the positive environment and friendship it offered. Thank you Canadian Personals!

Dreams can come true!
We corresponded as friends for two years after meeting each other here on CP. We cheered each other on as we each looked for the "right one" to connect with in the cyber world; since I believed barriers such as location and common sense precluded us from being more than friends.
Eventually we met in real life and the conversation continued. This time with the added benefit of all the senses and how nice those extra senses are. Wowsers!
Being in love is great and having someone love you back is even nicer! We are in love and very much amazed and grateful to have found each other.
If we have any advice to give, it's to get out from behind those computers and arrange some meetings. If there is nobody to meet in your area, plan a meeting elsewhere. "Fiver" is still kicking himself that he didn't arrange to meet in the middle and shorten this process by two years. He just couldn't tell how wonderful I was from the pictures. You really do have to meet me to get the full benefit of my charm. lol!
The folks on CP are excellent people and I have made some true friends here. Meanwhile, we want to say thanks CP for helping us find each other. Dreams can come true!

To add to our story....
Shortly after I last wrote to you, John and I decided that there was no question left in our minds and that we both feel the same ~ incredibly grateful to have found each other at this point in our lives. How wonderful...and amazing! He popped the question and what could I say? Apparently yes... because shortly thereafter I found myself standing in the Holy Cow restaurant (perfect place!!) ........saying "I do!"
And I have pictures to prove it! Its a second marriage for both of us and we both wondered if we would ever find the right one. It's hard to believe the right person might be out there sometimes. This time we hope we have learned from the past and have promised to remind each other to hold each other first and last, forgive quickly, laugh often, and be grateful that we are so blessed in finding each other.
John is funny, interesting, challenging, sensitive, generous of spirit and heart, and intelligent. (He's also tall, handsome, and wealthy beyond my wildest dreams....ok ... two out of three is not bad...you get to guess which two!) His only drawbacks are that he brings me coffee in bed in the mornings, likes to surprise me with a kiss on that spot at the back of my neck (you know the one!) and tells me regularly he thinks I am incredibly beautiful...sigh...but then I guess he can't be perfect....insane perhaps, but I'll keep him until the men with hooks show up. (If they are coming for me, he has promised to hide me...what more can a girl ask for?)
Well enough of my foolishness, thank you once again. Remember when you least expect it, love takes us by surprise!

Hey there....I just wanted to share our success story...In June 2005 I had ended a rather difficult relationship so was somewhat "gun shy"...I met "Mickey's Friend" on your site...He was 6 years younger than me but we lived in the same city and I was looking for friends at that time...We started writing, then talking on the phone and in the beginning of August we met in person...After a few weeks we knew that our relationship would be more than a "friendship"....He is the most incredible person I have ever met...I can't believe my luck at having found such a caring, sweet, man...We bought a house together in June 2006 and got engaged this April..We will be married January 2008 with all 5 of our children beside us...Thanks for the opportunity to meet my best friend and life long love....Juliet (Ginny)

This year we celebrated our 2nd anniversary.
Hi I would just like to say thank you to Canadian personals. I joined your site in March of 2004 and I had barely been on a month when I met a wonderful man. We had one date and then another...and then another and, before too long had passed, we moved in together. After 6 months of living together we got engaged and we tied the knot on 14 November 2004. This year we celebrated our second wedding anniversary, a little over a month after welcoming our first child, a beautiful baby boy, to the world. Thank you Canadian personals. For anyone thinking of joining this site I would definately recommend making the small investment. Trust me when I say its an investment in your future.

I was very nervious about the online dating thing but my kids said why not try it mom. So they signed me up to CP, and I have to thank them and CP for everything. I have met the most wonderful man I could ever think of. He is everything I have ever wanted in my life. We had been e-mailing each other for about 6 months before he asked me to take my holidays with him in Egypt. Mr.Clinton and I(Crys66) got married on April 27, 2006 in Egypt, which is where he is from. We do have alot of distance between us right now, but that will change soon. And right at this moment our love is stronger than ever and will never change, no matter how far apart we are. We had a lovely wedding and honeymoon in Egypt. And I want to thank CP for the best person in my life. Hope you all out there looking for that special some one will find the same happiness as I have. Thanks again CP.
